This is my 27th year teaching and 7th year teaching first grade at Lake Forest Elementary. Prior to First grade, I taught kindergarten at Lake Forest. I have also taught 4 year kindergarten and was a reading specialist for students first through 5th grade. 

I grew up in Greenville, SC and am a graduate of Greenville High School. I attended Winthrop University for two years, transferred and graduated from The University of South Carolina. I have a Master's Degree from Converse College in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

My husband Greg and I have been married for 33 wonderful years.  We have 26 year old twins, Kylie and

 Griffin. Kylie lives in Sumter, SC and is the programs director at The Sumter Museum.  Griffin is an artist and

 sculptor and has a studio in West Greenville. We are so proud of both of them! We have a sweet bunny

 named Honey and a very mischievous  cat named Wally. 

My Favorite Things:

 I love to shop at Nyla Beans gift and clothing shop. I also LOVE any and all thrift shops. My favorite snacks are trail mix, Biscoff cookies, and anything with peanut butter or chocolate! I drink a lot of hot tea and love most flavors.  My favorite hobbies are going to outdoor concerts, dancing, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family. My favorite restaurants are Portofino's, Sirin Thai, and anywhere downtown! I just love to shop, eat, and walk our beautiful downtown area! I also like Target and Amazon to buy fun things for our classroom. They have great kid/school items. :-)
