This is my twenty fifth year teaching at Bethel Elementary School. I am so excited to be working in a great community with enthusiastic children and parents.
Art has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started taking art lessons from the Greenville County Museum of Art in elementary school. Although I have always loved art, the desire to teach came later. I attended the College of Charleston and received my B.A. in Studio Arts. My main concentration of study was painting, but I also studied printmaking, sculpture and drawing. I also love art history. I often introduce units using artists and I visit art museums and galleries often.
I graduated from Converse College in 2008 with my Masters of Education in Art Education. In 2009, I attained my National Board Certification. I am the Past-President of the South Carolina Art Education Association.
I grew up in Greenville and attended Taylors Elementary, Northwood Middle and Wade Hampton High. I love cooking, making art, visiting art museums, working out and watching sports with my husband.
