Mrs. Rector

Welcome to the FIFTH GRADE! My name is Jacqueline Rector. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself.

I have lived in the Greer/Taylors area all of my life. I graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education. This will be my 24th year of teaching, and this will be my nineteenth  year at Chandler Creek. I have taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. This will be my 16th year teaching 5th grade. I recently represented Chandler Creek as the 2019-2020 Distinguished Teacher of Literacy.  I was honored in 2007 by being named the 2007 Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year for Greer area schools. I was also named PTA Teacher of the Year in 2010-2011 for Chandler Creek Elementary School.  I was also awarded with Magic 98.9's Teachers That Spread Magic Award in 2016. 

I am married to a wonderful man named Paul. I have a handsome and energetic son named Matthew who is nineteen years old (goodness, how time flies). He attends North Greenville University as an Elementary Education major. 

I am very excited to have your child in my class! I am looking forward to a wonderful year with your child as we achieve success. I hope that you and your child are also excited. The fifth grade curriculum is rigorous, engaging, and fun.

I feel very honored to be a member of the faculty here at Chandler Creek Elementary. Chandler Creek Elementary is an inviting and welcoming school.
