I graduated from Friends University (Wichita, KS) in 2007 and this will be my 19th year teaching.  I received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education and then went on to earn my Master's degree in ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) Curriculum and Instruction. In my 18 prior years of teaching (14 in Wichita, KS) I have taught 8th grade math (3 years), Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and a Math Applications class.  Since I have been in Greenville teaching at GHS, I have taught Algebra 1 and Geometry, which just so happen to be my two favorite classes to teach.  I will be teaching those two classes again this year.  

I am a former assistant coach for the girls soccer team. FORMER since I have gone back to school to get my masters degree in school counselling.  I spent the first 11 years of my teaching career coaching soccer at the high school I taught at (South High School in Wichita, KS).  Playing soccer and coaching soccer has always been a big part of my life, so I am definitely going to miss it this year.

I'm looking forward to the new semester and all of the adventures it will bring.  I especially look forward to meeting all of my students and seeing former students in the hallways.  I love getting involved, watching students grow and excel in and out of the classroom, and I love any reason to dress in a theme (spirit week).  If you have me as your teacher, you're in good hands, you're going to learn a lot, and we're going to have a great semester!!
