I was born in Texas and received my B.A. in English from the University of Colorado.

I began learning Spanish during my university study abroad program in Spain, and continued studying independently in Mexico after graduation.

I attended law school at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas and worked at the university's immigration and human rights clinic. I was admitted to the Colorado Bar and represented Spanish-speaking clients in immigration, criminal, and civil matters.

I began my teaching career when I took an opportunity to teach at Southwest University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China, where I taught English and tutored the university moot court team. I loved the experience and decided to pursue teaching as a career.

I pursued an M.A. in International Education at New York University while teaching at a English language training center.

I then attended the Texas State University Teacher Recruitment Program to earn my state teaching credentials. I am certified in English Language Arts, ESOL, Social Studies, and Spanish. I have taught in high school Austin, Texas and New Orleans, Louisiana. I taught elementary, middle, and high school students in China over the past several years. I recently earned an M.Ed. diploma from Texas State University.

INFORMATION
The Greenville School District MLP curriculum consists of two main curricula:
Lexia English & National Geographic Lift
Both of these materials are designed to prepare students for the WIDA ACCESS test. The ACCESS test measures students' academic English level and their readiness to study in a general US public school classroom.
HOURS
I am at Blue Ridge Middle School from 8:oo to 12:30. I am at Blue Ridge High School from 12:30 to 4:00.
OFFICE HOURS
I am available for office hours Mondays and Tuesday at 7:40 AM. If students need to meet at another time, I am happy to find a different time that works for everyone.
