Additional IXL info:

The assigned work for IXL can be completed with around 15 minutes per week day. The goal is for students to use flex time to complete it, otherwise it will be homework. Students may continue answering questions until they get the grade they want. For each set the lowest grade will be taken as a minor grade. Students have a progress chart in their science folders and it is also posted as a material in their Google Classroom.

How to view scores in IXL:

First click on Analytics at the top of the page> then click scores. Select grades 4,5,6 from the drop down as we sometimes review previously learned skills. Also check “Currently suggested” for the current IXL or "Practiced" for a list of all IXLs that have been completed. The smart score represents their score for each IXL. If students have lost their copy of the IXL codes, the list is also posted in Google Classroom.

IXL is a great program which will make a big difference in students' success in science as we move into more complex topics throughout the school year.

*If students are having trouble logging in they may be trying to login with their elementary school login info. They have received emails with their new username and passwords and have written those on their progress charts.
