About Me!

Hi! My name is Cameron Carty and I am in my second year of teaching! I am so excited to continue teaching first grade at Crestview!

I am originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia and just moved to South Carolina last year. I am still exploring all that South Carolina and the Greenville area have to offer. I have wanted to be a teacher since elementary school so it is so fun now living out my dream. I also grew up playing field hockey and stopped playing when I entered college. I am starting to realize this is not a very popular sport in the area! After high school I attended Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Right after graduation in May of 2020 I started working on my Masters in Teaching also from Christopher Newport University. I graduated in May of 2021 with my Masters Degree.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, parents, three siblings, and my adorable baby nephew. I also love to travel, my favorite place being Germany! I love the beach and the lake, which South Carolina has many of!

In my classroom, I hope to foster relationships with all my students and work hard to build relationships between my students as well. This year I want to develop every student's love of reading and love of learning.
