I am from Greenville, South Carolina, having lived here most of my life. At one time I lived with my family in Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico, and Medford, New Jersey. After graduating from Greenville High School, I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from Furman University. Two years later, I received my M.A. in Special Education with an emphasis on Learning Disabilities. This will be my nineteenth year in education and my first year as Instructional Coach! I have taught 4th and 5th grades at Anderson Mill Elementary in Spartanburg, Blythe Academy of Languages, and here at Sara Collins. On June 17, 2006, I got married to my wonderful husband, Edward! We have three precious children, Addie who is a seventh grader at Beck Academy, Kendrick who is in 3rd grade at Sara Collins, and James who is at Westminster Weekday School. I enjoy reading, exercising, and cooking new recipes! I am extremely excited and enthusiastic about the year ahead!
