Why Provide Services in Schools?
When children were referred to mental health services (like counseling) at mental health clinics, 13% of those children followed through on the referral and started the services, compared to 96% of children that began services services on-site at schools (Catron, Harris, & Weiss).

Youth are 6 times more likely to complete mental health treatment in schools than in other community settings.
