¡Bienvenidos!

Welcome to Sr. Campbell's Website

Hello!

My name is Ben Campbell and this is my 12th year teaching Spanish.  I spent 7 years at Mauldin High and this will be 5th year here at Riverside.  I attended Furman University and graduated with a BA in Spanish.  At Furman, I spent a semester abroad in Chile, Peru and Argentina and while on this trip I decided I wanted to teach Spanish to high school students!  I love teaching Spanish and I believe it is a great language for students to learn.

In the summer of 2014 I married my best friend Allison.  We have a 3 year old daughter named Ellie Grace and a 5 month old son named JT.  In my spare time, I love watching sports (especially Kentucky Basketball) I love the outdoors, I love watching movies, and I love spending time with my wife, kids and our Golden Retriever!

This year I will be teaching Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 and I can't wait to get started.  I'll also have a student teacher joining our fall semester classes.  (See below to learn more about Ms. Dintino).  On this website you will find the class syllabus and weekly planners.  If you ever have a question please don't hesitate to contact me via email (btcampbell@greenville.k12.sc.us) or via telephone (864-355-7887).  Also students will also be able to meet with me with any questions during my office hours which are listed below.

New Student Teacher This Fall!

Hi everyone! My name is Hannah Dintino, I'm a graduate student at Furman University. This past May, I graduated from Furman with a degree in Spanish, and I am currently working on my master's degree in teaching. I'm originally from Maryland, and I was recruited to head down south to Furman to play lacrosse!

Other fun facts about me are I enjoy reading, collecting plants, and I am a coffee fanatic. I have been playing lacrosse for 18 years now, but my experiences at Furman have by far been the best. I have enjoyed my time in South Carolina greatly! My favorite restaurant in Greenville is Nose Dive, and my favorite coffee spot is Swamp Rabbit cafe!

I have studied Spanish for 9 years now, and education has always been my passion.  I believe that knowledge is our greatest power, and on top of that, Spanish is a great language to learn,  along with it being a way to understand and appreciate other cultures.  I'm looking forward to this fall semester at Riverside and learning from Mr. Campbell, I know it will be a fun semester filled with learning and growth!
