I am very excited to be here at Eastside High School! This will be my 23rd year of teaching with 20 of those years being in Greenville County School. I have experience at all levels from elementary to high school, and I am looking forward to getting back to high school. I have two younger brothers with special needs so I am very familiar with student and family needs. My passion is helping our students find their success!
Professionally, I am Highly Qualified in Severe Disabilities and also certified in Multi-Categorical Disabilities. I graduated with my bachelor degree from Youngstown State University in special education and have also earned my master's degree in special education from Walden University. Most recently, I have finished my Ph.D. in educational leadership and administration from Capella University.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four children. My family also has four fur babies. Maggie, our little blue-nosed pit bull terrier, Aspen, our bloodhound mix, and Boots (with the purrr) our little rescue cat. Finally, the cat distribution center gifted us a little kitten we call Sweet Pea who lives on our porch (She is not a fan of dogs, so we make her comfy outside.)
