Hi Everyone! My name is Katelynn Anderson and the 26-27 school year will mark my 10th year as the Orchestra Director at Blue Ridge Middle School! A fun fact about me is that I also attended school at BRMS and played bass in the orchestra when I was in 6th-8th Grade. It is a joy to help students flourish as student musicians in the same community that I grew up in! I enjoy helping students find who they are through music and then seeing them continue to grow and learn as they continue playing in the Orchestra at BRHS.

After my middle school years at BRMS, I continued studying music and playing in orchestra in high school at the Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities here in Greenville. After high school, I graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with my bachelor's degree in Music Education. In addition to teaching, I enjoy traveling to new cities, hiking, quilting, reading, watching both NFL and collegiate football, and spending time with my family and our sweet retired racing greyhound (Baby Ruth).
