About the BRMS Bands

The Blue Ridge Middle School Band maintains a long tradition of excellence. Over the past 8 years, the Blue Ridge Middle Bands have received numerous awards such as superior and excellent ratings at the Carowinds Festival of Music, Dollywood Trills and Thrills Festival, and the SC Concert Performance Assessment. The band has also received Superior with Distinction ratings at the SC Concert Performance Assessment in 2015 and 2018. This is the highest rating you could possibly receive at the state level. Numerous individual students have had the privilege of representing BRMS at the county, region, and state level by earning seats in the Greenville All County Band, SC Region 1 Band, and SC All State Band. 

The BRMS Band is a proud 2022-2023 recipient of the SC Outstanding Performance Award.  Our school's band program performed at a very high level in all SCBDA events including All-State and Region Band, Concert Performance Assessment, and Solo and Ensemble and earned enough points to be recognized as one of the top bands in the state! The BRMS Band was one of only 47 middle schools in our state to receive this award!
