AP Language and Composition

AP Review:

Ok, so the test is coming up soon, and I'm going to remind you all that you are ready.

Just in case you want to refresh your memory:

If you want some extra M/C practice:

Practice Test (finish as a whole or break it up for a brief practice just to get warmed up)

**A note about these Practices: they are NOT sanctioned by AP. They were created by one of the better test prep companies. Remember to give yourself 1.33 minutes per question. Practice a strategy that you want to brush up on.

According to the College Board, the AP English Language and Composition course aligns to an introductory college-level rhetoric and writing curriculum, which requires students to develop evidence-based analytic and argumentative essays that proceed through several stages or drafts. Students evaluate, synthesize, and cite research to support their arguments. Throughout the course, students develop a personal style by making appropriate grammatical choices. Additionally, students read and analyze the rhetorical elements and their effects in non-fiction texts, including graphic images as forms of text, from many disciplines and historical periods. It is my desire that students will walk away from this course as better writers and thinkers and that they will be prepared for college.
