Grade Level Promotion Requirements:
10th grade: 5 units - 1 English, 1 Math, 3 other units from any field
11th grade: 11 units - 2 English, 2 Math, 1 Science, 6 other units from any field
12th grade: 17 units - 3 English, 3 Math, 2 Science, 9 other units from any field
4.0 - English
4.0 - Math *
3.0 - Science (one must be Biology) **
1.0 - U.S. History and Constitution
0.5 - U.S. Government
0.5 - Economics
1.0 - Other Social Studies
1.0 - Physical Education or JROTC
1.0 - Computer Science
1.0 - Foreign Language or CATE ***
7.0 - Electives ****
1.0 - Fine Arts *****
24 - TOTAL CREDITS FOR GRADUATION
* 4-year schools - Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and higher
** 4-year schools require 3 LAB sciences! (We offer Biology, Earth Science, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, and Astronomy which all have lab portions)
*** 4-year colleges require 2 units of same foreign language. Clemson and College of Charleston require 3 units of SAME foreign language
**** Any unit beyond the required courses listed above will count as elective units
***** 4-year colleges/universities require 1 fine arts credit (Art, Chorus, Band, etc.). 2-year schools do not
