MagicSchool AI Tools for Students
This year, students will have access to MagicSchool AI, a generative AI platform built for schools that will help them learn to use the technology safely and responsibly.
With tools like ChatGPT and others being used in the professional world, it’s important that students learn how to use the technology safely. By using MagicSchool in our classes, your student will be prepared for the future of technology in the workforce.
While students use MagicSchool tools for purposes such as receiving real time feedback, getting their questions answered, generating images, and in other exciting ways, I will have access to their chats to ensure that it’s used appropriately. Rest assured, MagicSchool does not collect or train on student data.
Be sure to ask your child about how they’re using AI in the classroom and take a look at the engaging ways they’ve utilized the MagicSchool tools to enhance their learning!
For more information, go to www.magicschool.ai or reach out directly with questions.
Hi! My name is Brad Redd. I am in my 6th year at Riverside High, having spent my previous 6 years teaching at Greer High. I will be teaching three subjects this semester:
Marketing
Image Editing
Virtual Enterprise
Marketing - Students will practice with digital design, print design and marketing and ultimately plan, design, and develop an advertising campaign for a product or service using real-world applications and considerations. Students will integrate technology commonly used in the advertising industry throughout the semester.
Image Editing - Students will explore the technical and artistic aspects of image editing by creating images to be used in various types of media.
Virtual Enterprise - VE provides students meaningful skills-based career experiences through hands-on, task-based curricula. By managing the day-to-day operations of a company, students not only develop business skills and an entrepreneurial mindset, they also identify career pathways that align with their interests, talents, and aspirations.
Education/Career – I am a lifelong resident of Greer. I attended Woodland Elementary, Greer Middle and Riverside High. I went on to further my education at Clemson University where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Before teaching, I was in the corporate world for 12 years. I have work experience in the recruiting industry, completing tasks such as interviewing, hiring, resume writing and job placement, the sales/marketing industry and the building industry. The life skills I learned from working in the corporate world have transitioned into the lessons I teach in my classes. The ideas and concepts my students will learn this year will help them after graduating from Riverside High and for many years thereafter.
Personal Life - I am married with 2 children: a boy, Crawford who is 14 and a girl, Sutton who is 11 (pictures below). I enjoy playing golf and basketball, coaching the RHS JV Golf team, going to Clemson Tigers football and basketball games, snow skiing and traveling with my family, with some of our favorite spots being Colorado, Disney World and any national park we have yet to visit.
I am very excited to help my students succeed not only at Riverside High but for years to come.
