Classroom Expectations
Our highly structured classroom environment is designed to support students’ needs. We provide visual schedules and picture cues to help ease transitions as we rotate throughout the day. Students are expected to attend during small and large group settings, and teachers provide accommodations to encourage success, such as proximity to teacher, cube chairs, visual cues, and warnings. Students are redirected and can be removed from situations for not listening, distracting a friend, or being unkind. We encouraged positive redirection and support students on an individualized basis.
