About Mrs. Poe

Hi! My name is Brooke Poe. In May of 2005, I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education. 

When I'm not teaching I enjoy being with my family and friends. My husband, Brandon and I have 2 beautiful daughters. Their names are Sophie Bray (12) and Hadley Kate (9). They are both such a blessing and they definitely keep me busy at home!! I also love to travel. I've been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to visit many international countries, such as Italy, Greece, France, England, Mexico, Croatia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. 

This will be my 21st  year teaching at Paris! I taught 1st grade for 12 years and then moved to kindergarten. I taught my little kinders for 5 years and am now  I'm back to 1st grade for my 3rd year!  I still love teaching just as much as that very first day and I will cherish every moment that I have with your little ones! 

In 2007, I had the privilege of being named “Greenville County's Emerging Teacher of the Year”; and then in 2010 was awarded “SC PTA Teacher of the Year”. In 2012, I was Top Ten Teacher of the Year for Greenville County. All of these awards were a tremendous honor! Teaching is a passion for me. It has been my lifetime dream to be a teacher, and I am really proud to be part of the Paris Elementary family!

It is my goal to insure your children enjoy and embrace the learning process. I want to help them develop their own motivation for learning. I will do my best to enable your children to succeed as they progress through 1st grade!
