I have known from an early age that I wanted to work with children. I graduated from Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology. Several years later, I completed my Masters of Education degree from Clemson University in Elementary Counseling. In 2009, I earned my National Board Certification in School Counseling.
I taught fourth grade at Blythe for eight years before assuming the counselor position in 2003. This is my 31st year at Blythe! I love my role as a school counselor and feel fortunate to work at a school I love. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and plan to open a private practice in 2026. I enjoy spending time with my husband, my daughter who is a sophomore at the University of South Carolina, and our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Ruby, Jessie, and Charley.

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with kids in some capacity. I graduated from Georgia State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Here I found an interest in school counseling and decided to pursue graduate school at Clemson University where I received my Masters of Education in School Counseling as well as my Educational Specialist Degree in School Counseling in 2023. During my time in school, I developed a passion for supporting students through any obstacles they may face. This is my third year as a school counselor and I am very excited to continue my journey at Blythe!
I was born in Michigan but moved to Georgia when I was in kindergarten. While in graduate school, I fell in love with the Greenville area and am happy I've had the opportunity to work here. I am the youngest of two older brothers and have two beautiful nieces. I am also a dog mom to a golden doodle named Millie.
