BRMS students have the opportunity to experience many classroom career speakers, such as bankers in math classes, medical field speakers in science classes, Museum on the Move, PlastiVan in GTT class, traveling orthodontist mobile, Critter Keeper and Zoo Mobile.

6th Grade Activities - Career speakers, assessments, Career Day and Career Fairs and GTT Design and Modeling class, student assistants, Technology Day
7th Grade Activities- Career speakers, assessments, student assistants, Career Day and Career Fairs and, GTT Design and Modeling class, GTT Robotics, take your student to work day, and Technology Day
8th Grade Activities - Career speakers, assessments, Career Day, Career Fair, Job Shadowing, GTT Design and Modeling, GTT Robotics, GTT Forensics, student assistants, Career Lunches and Technology Day
Individual Graduation Plan (IGP)-All eighth graders meet with a school counselor to discuss career goals, career cluster, grades, test scores and appropriate high school and college requirements and opportunities. (IGP Presentation)
Informal Assessments:
Pathways to Success - The 2005 South Carolina Education and Economic Development Act is a comprehensive piece of legislation that includes a focus on the 16 nationally recognized career clusters. The Office of Career and Technology Education directly supports programming that impacts many of those 16 career clusters, and, in doing so, plays a significant role in the implementation of this comprehensive legislation, including an emphasis on work-based learning opportunities, rigorous career-technical course work, and the other career-technical components.
