I worked for seven years in banking and then spent 16 years as a stay-at-home Mom before coming to work for Greenville County Schools. I grew up in Canton, GA and lived in New Orleans, LA and Osyka, MS before moving to Greenville County in 1999. I have been the Career Development Facilitator at Blue Ridge Middle School since 2006 and added school counseling in 2020. I am married to Pete Wilbanks, who is the pastor at Trinity Way Baptist Church in Berea. I have four adult children, Kaitlin, Nathaniel, Jacob, and Lauren.

Hi! My name is Allyson Kilgore, and I have been a part of the BRMS family since 2021! I completed my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Cleveland State University, and shortly after moved down to South Carolina from Cleveland, Ohio. My husband and I have two boys, Henry and Brooks, as well as a sweet little dog named Hudson. In my free time, I enjoy checking out the different state parks in the area, spending time with my husband and babies, and exploring Greer and Greenville. I look forward to the new school year and continuing on with all of my students!

My family and I recently relocated to the Upstate from the Lowcountry. My husband and I have been married 17 years and have three children: Layla, Will and Bennett. After I earned my Master’s degree from The Citadel, I worked for two years as a middle school counselor in Colleton County. The years following the birth of our children, I worked mostly as a SAHM, assisted my husband with his business, and taught preschool part time. In 2021, I began teaching full time and reinstated my counseling certification. I was excited to be afforded the opportunity to work last semester as a clerk for BRMS & to be chosen as the 6th grade counselor for the upcoming school year!
