Welcome to 8th grade!

My name is Caroline Black, and I am an 8th grade English/Language Arts teacher at Northwood Middle School. This is my seventh year at Northwood Middle School. I am a proud graduate of the University of Georgia (go Dawgs!), where I graduated with degrees in English and English Education. 

I was born in Springfield, Illinois, but I grew up in Roswell, Georgia, just north of Atlanta. I have been married for just over five years, and we have an amazing little boy, Charlie, who will be 2 in September, and another on the way in November. We also have an almost 5 year old Bernedoodle named Bruce.

I have lived in Greenville for 6 years now, and I love to explore the many restaurants, parks, and festivals that this pretty city has to offer! In my free time, I love being outside, reading for my book club, walking the Swamp Rabbit Trail, spending time with friends and family, and soaking up the sun at the beach! I am so excited to begin this school year and get to know each and every one of you!
