Hi, my name is Whitney Aman. I was born and raised here in Greenville and graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. I taught 5th grade in Greenville County for 13 years, then stepped away from the classroom for a few years to take care of my family. While I was out of the classroom, I worked remotely for Wells Fargo and was the Assistant Vice President of my group tasked with reviewing projects for the bank as well as training and coaching team members. I couldn’t stay away from teaching for long, though. I am thrilled to return to the elementary classroom this year and to have your child in my class!
A few things about me:
· I have two children: Alaina (20) and Gabriel (18) and 3 dogs: Finn (Golden Retriever), Grace and Bane (both Siberian Huskies).
· My favorite subject is Social Studies, especially World War II.
· In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.
· Even though I didn’t attend USC, I cheer long and loudly for the South Carolina Gamecocks!
My name is Moriah Mullen. I grew up in a small town outside of Boston. I relocated to South Carolina sixteen years ago with my family.
I have had a lifetime love for teaching and children, so I am thrilled to be a teacher. I have a Masters in Elementary Education from Bob Jones University, an Education Specialist degree in Administration and Leadership from Clemson, and a doctorate in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership from Anderson University. I have taught third grade in Chesterfield County, and Special Education Resource and 5th grade at Bethel. This is my 12th year teaching.
I love reading, going to movies, traveling the world, and most of all family.
My name is Casey Page and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher for the 25-26 school year! I have taught for 23 years, almost exclusively in fifth grade. I received both my undergraduate and my Masters degrees from Furman University.
My husband, Wes, and I have three girls. Spencer is a junior in high school, Harper is in 8th grade, and Campbell is in 6th grade. We also have one dog named Cider. Our family loves Clemson, the beach, and Disney. I am so excited to have fun and learn with your child this school year.
Hello, my name is Courtney Schweigert. I was born in South Carolina and I've lived in Greenville my whole life.
This is my 14th year teaching and my third year at Bethel. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade.
My husband, Jerre and I have three beautiful children. The two oldest are students at Bethel and I am so excited to come to school with my "big kids".
A few things about me:
-I LOVE to do crafts: painting and pottery, just to name a few
-My family cheers for the Clemson Tigers in the Fall. I lost one of my kiddos to the Gamecocks after their big win a few years ago.
-I love putting my toes in the sand at the beach.
-I enjoy baking and finding the best sunsets.
My name is Julia Shennan, and I have lived in the Greenville area my entire life. I earned my degree in Elementary Education from North Greenville University. This will be my second year teaching fifth grade at Bethel, and I’m excited for a great year with your student.
I live with my parents, my twin brother, and our four cats—Sandy, Cassie, Sully, and Mickey—who keep life lively! I enjoy hiking, spending quality time with family and friends, and I’m a huge Disney fan. Whether it’s movies, parks, or music, Disney adds a little extra magic to my life.
Hi! My name is Sarah Slack. I am so excited for my third year at Bethel Elementary and my 15th year of teaching. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at Towson University in Maryland and my Master of Education at Cabrini College (now a part of Villanova University) in Pennsylvania. I previously taught in Pennsylvania, Texas, and South Carolina (at another Greenville County elementary school) before staying home with my kids. My husband and I have been married 11 years, and we have 3 children: Tyler (10), Caleb (9), and Hailey (5).
I love to read, especially historical fiction. On weekends, you can usually find me cheering on my kids at the soccer field. In our house, we cheer for the Clemson Tigers, and I'm also a Jacksonville Jaguars fan. I don't like coffee, but I love chocolate!
