Hi, my name is Whitney Aman. I was born and raised here in Greenville and graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. I taught 5th grade in Greenville County for 14 years, then stepped away from the classroom for a few years to take care of my family. While I was out of the classroom, I worked remotely for Wells Fargo and was the Assistant Vice President of my group tasked with reviewing projects for the bank as well as training and coaching team members. I couldn’t stay away from teaching for long, though. I am thrilled to return to the elementary classroom this year and to have your child in my class!
A few things about me:
· I have two children: Alaina (21) and Gabriel (19) and 3 dogs: Finn (Golden Retriever), Grace and Bane (both Siberian Huskies).
· My favorite subject is Social Studies, especially World War II.
· In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.
· Even though I didn’t attend USC, I cheer long and loudly for the South Carolina Gamecocks!

My name is Rachel Jacobs, and I am so excited for this year in 5th grade with your child! I was born and raised in Hickory, NC, but decided to move to Greenville after enjoying the area the past few years in college. I have a BA in Elementary Education and a Masters in Teaching Elementary Education, both from Clemson. This will be my first year of teaching, but I had a year long student teaching experience in 5th grade last year.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends and family, trying new coffee shops, hiking and getting outside, watching the sunset, doing random crafts, and cheering on the Tigers. I know we will have an awesome year in 5th grade!
