When There Is a Substitute

When the classroom teacher is absent and a substitute teacher is in the room, students may continue normal use of their Chromebooks under the following guidelines:

• The substitute plans left by the teacher indicate that students should use Chromebooks for the lesson,
• The substitute plans left by the teacher include a copy of the BES Classroom Procedures for Chromebooks and the BES Chromebook Procedures for Substitute Teachers,
• All students must follow all Bryson Elementary and Greenville County Schools procedures and policies.

BES Chromebook Procedures for Substitute Teachers

Bryson Elementary School is a 1:1 school in which each student has a Chromebook to use for educational purposes. These Chromebooks are often used for assignments, for notetaking, for project work and for assessments.

When indicated in the teacher's substitute plans, students may use their Chromebooks. If the lesson plan does not call for Chromebooks, students may not use any technology (Chromebook, laptop).
