BES Tech Academy

Our mission is to provide all of our Cardinals with the knowledge and skills in Computer Science and Digital Literacy by learning through fun activities. Here at BES, we want to create a meaningful environment that fosters them to learn by doing, thinking, discussing, and reflecting on what they do.

For each 30 minute session per week, Kindergarten to 5th grade students will rotate to various stations during STEAM and Innovation Lab. During their Tech Station, students will focus on digital activities to help them learn and develop the following objectives:

• Introduce basic computer skills through various Internet programs
• Develop an appreciation of and excitement for computer usage
• Keyboarding through Dance Mat Typing, Typing Club, and other sites used to practice basic computer skills
• GSuite for Education Tools: Slides, Docs, Drawings, etc.
• Digital Citizenship & Digital Literacy Skills
• Coding

We are going to have an exciting year in both our STEAM and Innovation Lab this year!
