I hope to get to know each of you over the course of this year, and I want you to have a chance to get to know me!

I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Presbyterian College—Go Hose! I was honored to be the first education major at PC selected as one of the college’s “Most Outstanding Interns” for my student teaching at Joanna Woodson Elementary.

I am originally from Spartanburg, SC, where I worked as a caretaker for children with disabilities before becoming a teacher. I now live in Simpsonville with my wonderful husband, Bailey, and our two sweet dogs, Stella and Walker.

This is my 7th year in education. I taught 5th grade for five years at Bell’s Crossing Elementary and spent last year in the ID Moderate program here at Woodmont Middle School. This year, I’m excited to begin my journey as a multi-categorical math teacher! In addition to my classroom experience, I also helped write the elementary math curriculum for Greenville County Schools. I’m passionate about creating lessons that are accessible, engaging, and empowering for all learners.

Through my personal experiences in the classroom, I’ve learned that a teacher must first know their students in order to best meet their needs. I believe that every child can learn when given the right environment. When students feel safe, loved, challenged, and free to explore, they can surpass our highest expectations.

I want each and every one of you to know how special your child is to me and how excited I am to have the privilege of spending this year with them.
