Library Staff

Greetings! I am honored to serve my fourth year as Berea Elementary's Library Media Specialist during the 2025-26 school year. I strive to improve the school community's literacy and information access through reading programs, promotions, advisory, digital citizenship, and research skill instruction.

While working as a Library Media Clerk at nearby Monaview Elementary, I earned a Master's of Library and Information Science degree at the University of South Carolina. My hobbies include reading a wide variety of book genres (of course!), yoga, and scrapbooking. Some of my favorite children's books include Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt and Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson. When not in the library, I can probably be found cheering on one of my sons at their many sporting events or preparing for my next book club.

Hi! I’m so excited to be working in the library helping Mrs. Grabiec with students finding good books to read, giving tech support and organizing behind the scenes!  I’ve been a certified teacher for 34 years. I’m from NC but have lived right here in Berea for 28 years. I’m married and have a daughter who is the librarian at Sara Collins Elementary and a daughter who is married and living in the beautiful national park called Yosemite in California. We love to read and play games when we get together!
