August 4: First Day of School for Students

August 5: First Day with Instruments for 7th and 8th Grade

August 12: Mouthpiece Fitting for 6th Grade during class

August 20: Instrument Rental Night; 5:00-6:30 PM

August 25: Beginning Band First Day with Instruments

September 8: Instrument Rental Fee Due

September 19: 8th Grade Night with the J. L. Mann Marching band (Highly Recommend!)

October 16:  Symphonic Band Magnet Open House

October 17:  Sign Ups for All County ($12) AND Region Band ($15) Audition due

November 11: Symphonic Band Veterans Day Concert

*December 4: Beck Band Winter Concert; 6:00pm in Beck Gym

January 10: Region Band Auditions; Powdersville High School

January 15,20: Middle School All County Band Auditions; Mauldin Middle School (strongly encouraged)

January 24: All State Auditions for qualifying students; Inclement Weather Region Auditions

February 13: Solo and Ensemble $ due ($10 solo, $5 ensemble)

February 19-20: All County Band Clinic (Thursday after school and Friday all day)

February 27-28 Region Band Clinic at Furman University

March 13-15: All State Clinic at Furman University

March 24: Symphonic Band to Concert Performance Assessment 

April 11: Symphonic Band to Carowinds Music Festival (Tentative Date

April 25th: Solo and Ensemble at Dorman Freshman Campus

*May 6: Beck Band Spring Concert; 6:00pm

*indicates Mandatory performance or event, please put these events in your calendar. If a student misses a Mandatory performance or rehearsal, their grade and/or participation in the ensemble will be affected. Make-up assignments will be given for excused absences.
