About Me

My name is Barbara Bingham and I am the Assistant Principal at Gateway Elementary School. This is my fifth year at GES and I look forward to serving the Gateway Gators! My faith, family, students and colleagues are very important to me! I love what I do and the people who surround me. I graduated with my Bachelor from Bob Jones University in 2000 and in 2006 I earned my Master's from Furman University. During my college years, I volunteered at Camp Spearhead and for Special Olympics, as well as for different schools in the US and abroad reading to students and tutoring them. I have been employed with Greenville County Schools since 2000; I bring six years of special education teaching experience and fifteen years as an administrator at both high school and district levels. I am PAS-T Evaluator trained, and am an active participant in assistant principal professional development activities, such as the Assistant Principal's Institute and the Instructional Leader's Academy.
