Mrs. Sara Bartley

Welcome to Automation and Robotics! I'm Sara Bartley, and I'm thrilled to join you as your Automation and Robotics teacher.

I'm an NC State graduate with a degree in Textile Engineering and over a decade of manufacturing and product development experience with companies like Burlington Industries, Levolor Kirsch, and Glen Raven. I've completed my Six Sigma Black Belt training and love solving real-world problems through engineering and design.

For the past seven years, I've been teaching math and engineering, and I'm honored to be a two-time Teacher of the Year nominee and recent Golden Apple Award winner. I'm passionate about helping students discover what they can accomplish and connecting them with opportunities available within the industry.

Outside the classroom, I play the French Horn with the Foothills Philharmonic and Furman’s Lakeside Concert Band. My husband and I have two wonderful boys; one is a sophomore in college and the other is a 9th grader. I enjoy supporting my youngest son on the football and soccer fields. During the summer, I love taking road trips with my family.
