School will be starting on Thursday, August 8th! I am looking forward to spending the year with each and every student! I can't wait to meet them and get to know them and all of their differences.

This year, students should expect to be held to high expectations and to work hard. We will spend a lot of time working through labs as a class and at least 1 major project every 9 weeks. If time permits, I will try to have at least 2 field trips this school year. I will be sure to keep you posted on this. ¡La escuela comenzará el jueves 8 de agosto! ¡Espero pasar el año con todos y cada uno de los estudiantes! No puedo esperar para conocerlos y llegar a conocerlos y todas sus diferencias.

Este año, los estudiantes deben esperar tener altas expectativas y trabajar duro. Pasaremos mucho tiempo trabajando en laboratorios como clase y al menos 1 proyecto importante cada 9 semanas. This year, we will be using Talking Points App as to communicate with you. Please download the app in your phones app store. We will send updates, reminders, and parent/teacher communications using this app.  If you are unable to use the app, please let me know.

Este año, utilizaremos la aplicación Talking Points para comunicarnos con usted. Descargue la aplicación en la tienda de aplicaciones de su teléfono. Enviaremos actualizaciones, recordatorios y comunicaciones entre padres y maestros usando esta aplicación. Si no puede usar la aplicación, hágamelo saber.

A field trip is scheduled for March 13, 2024 to the Waste Management Facility in Pelzer, SC. Students will receive letters home after Valentine's Day (February 14) as well as permission slips. The cost of the field trip will be $5 per student. Permission slips and payment will be due by March 6. Students who are unable to pay will need to let their science teacher know as soon as possible.

Está programada una excursión para el 13 de marzo de 2024 a Waste Management Facility en Pelzer, Carolina del Sur. Los estudiantes recibirán cartas a casa después del Día de San Valentín (14 de febrero), así como hojas de permiso. El costo de la excursión será de $5 por estudiante. Las hojas de permiso y el pago deberán entregarse antes del 6 de marzo. Los estudiantes que no puedan pagar deberán informar a su maestro de ciencias lo antes posible.
