Gateway To Technology (GTT) is a semester middle school STEM course designed to bring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math together. GTT provides different engineering project activities for students in grades 6-8. However, students in each grade level will experience activities in basic technological literacy, the Engineering Design Process, and career exploration. 

Additionally, all students receive instruction regarding GTT Lab Expectations & General Safety, Internet safety, and will present different topics through formal research and Google Slides. Engineering requires creativity, critical thinking, imagination, trial and error, attention to detail, and strong Science-Math-ELA skills. 

Everything we do in GTT can provide career path ideas. For many, the more difficult decision may be deciding which path to pursue. Students are always encouraged to look beyond the activity. For example, when watching an item progress through an assembly line, students are reminded of all the engineering, technology, and machinery needed just to move the item from point to point.
