My name is Mrs. Erin McCauley, and I am thrilled to begin my eighth year as the Assistant Principal at Brushy Creek Elementary School. Before joining the team at Brushy Creek, I served as the Administrative Assistant at Berea Elementary School for three years. Prior to my transition into administration, I spent 13 wonderful years as a classroom teacher—seven of those years at Woodland Elementary School and six at Grove Elementary School. Throughout my teaching career, I had the opportunity to teach 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. This year marks my 22nd year in education.
I am originally from Upstate New York and graduated from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, in May 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. I moved to Greenville, SC, shortly after, in July 2001. I later earned my Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Southern Wesleyan University in July 2014.
I’ve been happily married for over 21 years and am the proud mom of two beautiful daughters. Emma, 20, is currently a junior at the University of South Carolina, and Allie, 18, just started as a freshman at USC as well.
In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I also love running and riding my Peloton bike.
It is an honor to continue serving the students, families, and staff at Brushy Creek Elementary School. If I can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me by phone at (864) 355-5411 or via email at emccaule@greenville.k12.sc.us.
