I am a seasoned English educator with over 20 years of experience at Riverside High School in Greenville County, South Carolina. I have taught a wide range of courses, including AP Literature and Composition, English I, and dual-enrollment college-level English. A National Board-Certified Teacher, I am endorsed in gifted and talented instruction and hold certifications in both AP English Literature and Language.
Beyond teaching, I have mentored new teachers and student teachers and contributed to curriculum revisions for Greenville County Schools. I currently serve on the executive board of the South Carolina Council of Teachers of English and completed the Teacher Fellow program as a teacher advocate with Public Education Partners. A frequent presenter at state and local conferences, I am passionate about teacher collaboration and innovative writing instruction. I hold a Master of Arts in English from Middlebury College and remain committed to advancing excellence in education.
