All About Your Teacher

I am excited to go on this third grade journey with you! It is sure to be a wonderful year. This is my thirteenth year at Greenbrier Elementary, and my sixth year teaching third grade. I began my adventures at Greenbrier as an EMD-SC Aide, then spent two years in first grade, and four years in second grade before moving up to third grade! I am excited to learn new things, go on new adventures, and watch my students grow this year.

I recently celebrated my tenth wedding anniversary with my husband, Kyle. We have a beautiful six year old, Olivia, who loves swimming, waving at "mommy's big kids" (my precious third grade students),  and playing with her dogs. We have two precious dogs, a laid back female boxer-pit named Jets and a wild but loving male Siberian Husky named Channing. To add to our crazy, we also raise 21 chickens for their eggs (and of course, as pets!) We have two goats named Willie and Waylan who also like to greet us each morning and beg for food!  We like to keep things interesting around the Quin house :).

I received my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education at North Greenville University in 2011. I completed my M.S. Ed. in Reading and Literacy through Walden University in October of 2016. I finished my English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) certification program through Clemson University in 2018. I also completed the Master Teacher program through Clemson University in 2019 and have hosted two teacher residents. I look forward to my next journey as a lifelong learner!

I enjoy spending time with my family, snuggling up on the couch with a good book, and napping on rainy Sunday afternoons. Teaching truly is my passion and I can't wait to see everything this new school year has to offer!
