My name is Ms. Ledford and I am from Greenville, SC. I received my Bachelor of Music degree from Converse College in 2010 and have been teaching at Sterling since 2011. I am also a professional flautist of the upstate and is an orchestral member of Greenville Light Opera Works.
My passion is to teach music to all students. I have been working with marching bands and teaching privately since 2006. I enjoy teaching each age group of kids because they still get that excitement and enthusiasm once they learn something new. I love seeing the light bulb come on and my students actually getting excited about playing and/or learning music! I am looking forward to a great music year with all my students!
My husband is also a teacher, assistant Athletic Director and assistant baseball coach at Mauldin High School. We have two children, Samuel and Elizabeth. We also have a cat named Rimsky, named after the famous composer Rimsky-Korsakov who composed the famous "Flight of the Bumblebee." I have many hobbies which include: Racquetball, Softball, Baseball, Basketball, Golf, and Hiking. I am also a HUGE Notre Dame Fan...GO IRISH!!!
