My name is Amanda Garrett, and I am so excited to be teaching 8th grade ELA at Bryson this year! This is my second year at Bryson. I graduated from Furman University with a BA in English, and I came to education after a 20-year career in telecommunications.
I grew up in Cumming, GA, and I currently live in Greenville with my husband, my 13-year-old son, my mother, a cat, a dog, two ball pythons, and a bearded dragon. I am an unapologetic book nerd. I love to read, and I love language. In my free time, I enjoy exploring nature, butterfly gardening, baking, playing board games, and taking long walks.
My butterfly Halloween costume!
On vacation in Costa Rica this summer!
