Welcome to second grade, heroes and parents! I’m SUPER excited to get to know you all, but first… here’s a little about myself. I have a degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University, as well as a Gifted and Talented endorsement from Converse College. This will be my 20th year of teaching elementary school. Second grade is my favorite grade to teach; I believe this grade level is where some of the most exciting education developments occur. Additionally, my experience teaching first and third grades have helped me better understand where my students are coming from and where they will need to be at the end of the school year. 

I have one of the most supportive husbands in the world. We met at Clemson and have been married for twenty-four years. We have two children. Our daughter is a junior in college and our son is a senior in high school. When away from school, I love spending time with my family and friends, volunteering and participating in activities at church, traveling, walking, reading, and shopping.
