Why don't you...?


Try these STEAM activities (tip - watch our videos on the Videos tab to see how we completed these tasks):

  1. Design and build a trampoline using household items (rubber band, colander, toothpicks)

  2. Make glasses sing

  3. Build a rocket launcher with straws

  4. Create an Origami object

  5. Make a graph using LEGO

  6. Make a musical instrument from household items

  7. Have fun with bubbles. (idea: use water, a little dish soap and a straw, or come up with a new way - hint - see the videos for guidance!)

  8. Read a nursery rhyme or book, then create an algorithm with the events in the story.

  9. Make a paper airplane. You can even challenge a member of your household to make one too, then see which flies farthest!

  10. Create a maze using household items

  11. Engineer (design and build) a building or bridge with household items

  12. Create an algorithm for 5 exercises (lunges, touch toes, hop, etc.)

  13. Using household items build the letters in your name

  14. Create a blueprint of a room in your house

  15. Take a walk with an adult and discuss how technology has changed
