Why don't you...?
Try these STEAM activities (tip - watch our videos on the Videos tab to see how we completed these tasks):
Design and build a trampoline using household items (rubber band, colander, toothpicks)
Make glasses sing
Build a rocket launcher with straws
Create an Origami object
Make a graph using LEGO
Make a musical instrument from household items
Have fun with bubbles. (idea: use water, a little dish soap and a straw, or come up with a new way - hint - see the videos for guidance!)
Read a nursery rhyme or book, then create an algorithm with the events in the story.
Make a paper airplane. You can even challenge a member of your household to make one too, then see which flies farthest!
Create a maze using household items
Engineer (design and build) a building or bridge with household items
Create an algorithm for 5 exercises (lunges, touch toes, hop, etc.)
Using household items build the letters in your name
Create a blueprint of a room in your house
Take a walk with an adult and discuss how technology has changed
