Hello, Adventurers and Welcome to Third Grade!

I’m Mrs. Melina Lee, and I am so excited to welcome you to our classroom! My husband, son, and I recently moved from Arizona to South Carolina, and I am thrilled to begin this new adventure teaching third grade.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Phoenix and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I hold teaching certifications in both South Carolina and Arizona and have additional training and certifications in special education, literacy, and dyslexia. I have also completed training in trauma-informed practices and Love and Logic, which help me create a caring, respectful, and supportive classroom environment. I am committed to continuing my professional growth so that I can provide every student with meaningful, engaging, and encouraging learning experiences.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, cooking, drinking coffee, taking road trips, and spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I have three adult children and two sweet dogs named Sage and Basil. We also have something extra special to celebrate this year—our youngest "child" is getting married in December!

I cannot wait to learn, grow, laugh, 

and make wonderful memories together.
