“In this classroom, every child is valued, every voice is heard, and every success is celebrated.”

Welcome!
My name is Allison Chamness, and I’m proud to have spent the past 31 years teaching in Greenville County Schools. I’ve been at Bell’s Crossing Elementary since it opened in 2002, and it’s been a joy to be part of such a wonderful school community.

I earned my degree in Special Education from Winthrop University and am a National Board Certified Teacher in Exceptional Needs (Early Childhood through Young Adulthood).

Teaching is a passion, and I’m excited to work with both you and your child this school year. I believe that when we work together as a team, we can create a learning environment that is successful, engaging, and full of growth.

A little about me:
My husband, Tom, recently retired after 30 years in education and is now beginning a new chapter with Powdersville Insurance Company. We’ve been married for 30 years and have two children and a lovable Golden Doodle named Lucy.

Our son, Christopher, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic arts at USC Upstate. Our daughter is a senior at Clemson University, majoring in business with a focus in marketing.

When we’re not working, we love to travel—especially to the beach or on cruises. In the fall, you’ll find us cheering on the Clemson Tigers every game day!
