I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Myrtle Beach, SC while in high school. I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina, and then I received my Masters in Teaching, also from USC. Obviously, I am a Gamecocks fan!! This is my 29th year of teaching and my 23rd year at MMS. I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science in both Georgia (GMC - Military Prep School) and SC (MMS to Hughes Academy and back to MMS).
I am married and have a 17 year old daughter, Sophia, who will be a Senior this year at Mauldin High School. My husband retired after 28 years in the Air Force. We are so grateful to have him home all the time now, safe from overseas deployments. In my free time, I love being outdoors, travelling, reading, cheering-on the Gamecocks, doing crafts, and spending time with friends and family, including our dog, Jack. I believe the panda is my spirit animal, and I love Starbucks!!
