About me

My name is Angelica Camargo, and I teach Spanish at Greer High . I am originally from New Jersey but my heritage is South American, my parents immigrated to the United States from Colombia in the 70's, and my siblings and I grew up in a small town called Hackensack. In the early 90’s we moved back to Colombia to be closer to family , there I graduated as a Speech therapist from la Universidad Metropolitan, Barranquilla and met my husband.

We have been back in the United States and living in Greer for the past 11 years and we love it! We have raised our 3 beautiful children here, and recently added a puppy, Spotty to our bunch. We feel at home here and plan on staying for a very long time!

My family and I really enjoy riding bikes along the Swamp Rabbit trail, as we are delighted by the beautiful scenery Greenville has to offer, we love to spend time at the beach and travel to our country Colombia during the summer.

On my time off I like to cook traditional plates like arroz con coco, fried fish, plantains, empanadas and many more . I love to spend time with friends and family and host many gatherings.

I am super excited to bring my heritage and my culture through this wonderful language, to the students at Greer High. I hope to inspire many Spanish learners to fall in love with the Spanish language and to continue on a career in this area.
