Grading Expectations
The state of South Carolina along with GCS has eliminated the NHI ("50 Floor") policy. Students in all courses may now receive a “0” on assignments when appropriate.
NHI = Not Handed In
Student did not hand in their assignment, resulting in a score of zero (0).
MDA- Missing Due to Absent
Student is missing a grade for an assignment due to an absence, resulting in a score of zero (0). Upon return to school, the student has five (5) school days to turn in this assignment.
