Classroom Procedures
Students will line up outside the classroom door in a single file line.
Students may only enter once I am at the door and allow them to enter.
Students will enter the classroom on time and in a calm manner.
Students must place their phone and airpods in the phone holder upon entering.
Students will sit in their assigned seat.
Students must remain quiet and listen attentively when I am speaking.
Students will raise their hand if they have a question or comment or need to get up out of their seat.
Students MUST ask permission to leave the classroom; you will use SMART PASS.
Only 1 boy or 1 girl is allowed to use the restroom at a time; 5 minutes after the start of class and 5 minutes before may students use the restroom.
At the end of class, only the teacher dismisses the class.
Course Material
This class will cover the entirety of South Carolina’s history beginning with its settlement by Native Americans and ending with the Civil Rights Movement. The subunits are below.

Expectations
IDs MUST be worn at all times; no exceptions.
Seats must remain where they are.
Keep your hands to yourself; no horseplay.
Inappropriate language is not allowed; this includes foul language and name-calling.
Gum chewing and eating food is not allowed in class.
Water bottles are allowed with water.
Unless given permission, students are to only work on Social Studies assignments during class.
Late Work is accepted until the last week of each quarter. .
Students will have the opportunity to make up work for a grade if the student has an excused absence.
