Hello! I'm Mr. Barnes and I will be teaching reading and writing this year for fifth grade. I'm so excited to team teach with Ms. Henson and join the fifth grade team. This will be my 9th year teaching. I've taught 3rd and 4th grades as well as English as a Second Language in the past. I have a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education, and have completed the courses to be certified in English as a Second Language. In my free time, I enjoy playing many instruments, watching sports, reading, and spending time with my family. Let's make this an "out of this world" year!  

¡Hola! Soy el Sr. Barnes y este año impartiré las clases de lectura y escritura para quinto grado. Me entusiasma mucho trabajar en equipo con la Sra. Henson e integrarme al equipo docente de quinto grado. Este será mi noveno año como maestro; anteriormente he enseñado en tercer y cuarto grado, así como inglés como segunda lengua. Cuento con una licenciatura en Educación Musical, una maestría en Enseñanza de Educación Primaria y he completado los cursos necesarios para obtener la certificación en inglés como segunda lengua. En mi tiempo libre, disfruto tocar varios instrumentos, ver deportes, leer y pasar tiempo con mi familia. ¡Hagamos que este sea un año 'fuera de este mundo'!
