Hi! My name is Stacey Babinicz and I am excited to be on the 5th grade team! This year will be my 18th year teaching and my fourth year teaching at Monarch! My husband and I have lived in Simpsonville for the past 18 years and we have three children. In our free time, my family loves spending time on Lake Keowee, taking walks, and watching movies. It is going to be a fantastic year in 5th grade and I can't wait to make memories together!
Hi there! My name is Francesca Colangelo and I am so excited to be teaching fifth-grade at Monarch this year! I earned my undergraduate degree in Design Studies from West Virginia University and my graduate degree in Elementary Education from Anderson University. In my free time I enjoy traveling with my husband, daughter, and our two dogs. I also love pickleball, thrift shopping, cooking up new recipes, and visiting local coffee shops. I am so excited to partner with you this year to help your students learn and grow!
Hi! I'm Keeley Crowley and I am a 5th grade teacher here at Monarch! I have taught both 4th and 5th grades. I was born and raised in Greer, SC, so I am a product of Greenville County Schools! I went to Clemson University where I earned my degree in Elementary Education. Go Tigers! My parents are both retired educators from Greenville County Schools; my dad was a principal and my mom was a teacher, too! I love to run, shop, read, and enjoy local coffee shops, getting my nails done, and spending time with my family and friends. I love iced oat milk lattes with ANY fun flavor, Diet Coke, Mexican food, and all things fall and pumpkin. I can't wait to have the best year ever together in 5th grade!
Info about you!
This is my 16th year teaching and my 6th year at Monarch. I taught middle school science for 10 years before coming to 5th grade. I have a BS in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina and an MAT in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston. I previously worked as a marine educator at the SC Department of Natural Resources, where I led salt marsh tours, touch tank programs, and estuary excursions aboard an education vessel in the Charleston Harbor and the ACE Basin. I grew up in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School. I am married and have four children, my daughter is a sophomore in college and my sons are in 12th, 9th, and 6th grades. My parents are retired teachers, and both my husband and my sister are teachers in Anderson One School District. My family loves to travel to National Parks- we have been to 40 as a family, and all by car! I also enjoy reading, running, hiking, camping, being outdoors, baking, cooking, and learning new things!
