About Me

Hey, my name is Kim Smith and I am a Special Education teacher. I am from the Lowcountry and have lived in North Carolina and Virginia before coming back home to South Carolina. My husband and I have two kids who graduated from Greenville County Schools. Our son and daughter-in-law live in Atlanta and our daughter is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina!  I earned my undergraduate degree from Winthrop University and master's degree from Liberty University. When I am not in school I love to read, hike, travel and cheer for my favorite teams ~ Go Fury! 

 This year will be both rewarding and challenging for your student, but, it is my goal throughout the school year to help every student reach his/her potential. My top priority is your child's success in the classroom and helping him/her become an independent, lifelong learner. In addition to being your student's teacher, I am also his/her case manager.
