Classroom Guidance

We have built in time each day in your child's class to focus on Social/Emotional Learning.  This year, we will be following the Character Strong Curriculum; Purposeful People.  Students will connect, grow, and respond daily with their classmates as well as learn character traits such as respect, empathy, cooperation (BE KIND: social skills), responsibility, perseverance, courage (BE STRONG: executive functioning), gratitude, honesty, and creativity (BE WELL: emotion regulation).  

I will also be working with students daily and working schedules with teachers for class visits when needed.  

Students will learn social-emotional skills that will help them build healthy relationships and solve problems throughout their lives.  Students will learn about the significance of using these character traits at school, home, and within our community.
