Through the Hamilton Stewardship Network, community members are able to come together to enhance Hamilton's greenspaces by becoming stewards. Volunteers and local residents will help to care for natural areas across the city, including pollinator patches, depave gardens, tree planting sites, and restoring woodland, shoreline, and prairie habitats in public lands.
As a stewardship volunteer, you will:
learn about native trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, invasive species, and more;
commit and help care for various greenspaces across Hamilton;
meet new people and network within the local community;
participate in training workshops;
gain experience, leadership and interpersonal skills;
and plenty more!
